Isles of Scilly
The Isles of Scilly are a sub-tropical archipelago 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall, where even a short break can feel like an adventure from a different era. There are no chain hotels or high-rises, and you can stay on the main island of St Mary’s or head for the wilder off-islands. Days can mean island-hopping on wooden launches, Bronze Age burial chambers and white sand beaches.
My Isles of Scilly videos include a day trip to Bryher, a two minute day trip to St Mary’s and a Skybus flight from the islands to Lands End Airport.
When you are ready to plan a visit, my other website, Best In Cornwall, has guides covering parking, beaches, walks, where to eat and where to stay. Here are the ones for the Isles of Scilly, covering things to do, eating, staying, history and facts.
