Liskeard

Liskeard is a historic market town in south east Cornwall, with Georgian and Victorian streets that reflect its prosperity during the tin and copper mining boom and a working town centre that feels distinct from the coastal resorts nearby. It makes a handy base for the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, the Looe Valley branch line down to the coast and the quieter villages of the Caradon area.
