Portreath

Portreath is a small former industrial harbour village on Cornwall’s north coast, with a sandy, sheltered beach that is popular with families and beginner surfers. It marks one end of the Coast to Coast cycle trail across to Devoran, and the coast path runs towards the abandoned engine houses near Porthtowan.

My Portreath videos include Storm Dennis in 2020 and an autumn walk from Tehidy Woods to Portreath.

When you are ready to plan a visit, my other website, Best In Cornwall, has guides covering parking, beaches, walks, where to eat and where to stay. Here are the ones for Portreath, covering parking, things to do, eating, staying and local facts.
