St Mawes
St Mawes is a chic, sheltered harbour village on the Roseland Peninsula, with pastel painted cottages and a quayside overlooking the Fal Estuary towards Falmouth, which you can reach by passenger ferry. The well preserved St Mawes Castle and a scattering of good restaurants add to a relaxed, upmarket feel that has long made it a favourite with sailors.
My video here asks what St Mawes is like at the end of summer.
