Lands End
Lands End is the westernmost point of mainland England, a dramatic clifftop where the Atlantic meets a wall of granite. Away from the famous signpost, the coast path here is some of the best walking in Cornwall, with views out to the Longships Lighthouse and, on a clear day, the Isles of Scilly.
I have filmed Lands End in storms and in calm, from Storm Ciara and a stormy walk to Sennen to a hovering kestrel at sunset, snorkellers watching a bluefin tuna feeding frenzy and a helicopter delivering fresh water to Longships Lighthouse.
When you are ready to plan a visit, my other website, Best In Cornwall, has guides covering parking, beaches, walks, where to eat and where to stay. Here are the ones for Lands End, covering things to do, eating, staying, local facts, bluefin tuna and whales and dolphins.
