Porthleven
Porthleven is a town defined by the sea, whether that is winter waves crashing against the harbour wall or calm turquoise water in summer. It is also a creative place, with artisan markets and historic walks. The town is built around a steep valley, so it helps to know where you want to park before you drive in.
I have filmed a run of storms here, including Storm Agnes, Storm Franklin, Storm Bella, Storm Ellen and Storm Bram, which created huge amounts of sea foam.
When you are ready to plan a visit, my other website, Best In Cornwall, has guides covering parking, beaches, walks, where to eat and where to stay. Here are the ones for Porthleven, covering parking, things to do, eating, staying, local facts and storms and winter.
