Snorkelling The Crystal Clear Waters Off Porthgwidden Beach, St Ives, Cornwall

Snorkelling and exploring the crystal clear waters off Porthgwidden Beach, St Ives, Cornwall, UK on a beautiful summer’s day. When the sea conditions are flat I love nothing better than going for a snorkel and swim around the stunning coastal waters that surround Cornwall. I love snorkelling anywhere between Carbis Bay and St Ives. Porthgwidden is one of my particular favourites.

I was lucky enough to see some massive Spider Crabs, in fact, I saw the biggest Spider Crab I have ever seen during this video.

The sea looks fairly calm but there was a pretty strong current so I was struggling to get down close enough to it to give you some scale but this Spider Crab’s body was about the size of a football.
