In August 2022, I shot this video of a lovely old seal that kept me company as it rested on the rocks. This was one of my favourite ‘secret spots’ near St Loy, and I have several such locations across West Penwith that I visit throughout the year. I’ll often sit for hours, watching the sea and waiting for wildlife to appear.

This gentle seal stayed nearby for a couple of hours, giving me the perfect opportunity to capture some footage. I also caught a brief glimpse of a Sea Otter, though it didn’t linger, a fleeting but truly special moment.
