Summer In Kenidjack Valley, Near St Just, Cornwall, UK

Kenidjack Valley, tucked just outside the historic mining town of St Just, is one of West Cornwall’s most atmospheric landscapes.

The walk through the valley follows a gentle stream bordered by wildflowers in summer, passing remnants of the area’s mining heritage, old engine houses and stone ruins that stand as reminders of Cornwall’s industrial past.

You can see from my video thumbnail above that as you reach the end of the path and the valley opens out towards the coast, the view becomes truly breathtaking. The rugged cliffs and sweeping Atlantic horizon frame Cape Cornwall perfectly in the distance, offering one of the most striking coastal scenes in the region. It’s a place that combines natural beauty with a deep sense of history, making it an ideal walk for anyone exploring the far west of Cornwall.

Off-road parking is quite limited, so it’s best to visit early in the morning or later in the day to ensure you can find a space.
