An early start is essential for a day trip to the Isles of Scilly. We caught the Scillonian III from Penzance to St Mary’s, enjoying the calm morning crossing and the first views of the islands from the deck.

Once on St Mary’s, we caught a small boat over to the beautiful island of Bryher, spending around three hours exploring the island’s quiet beaches, walking paths, and scenic coastal views before catching the return boat.

The Isles of Scilly never fail to impress with their unique charm and natural beauty. Bryher, with its peaceful atmosphere and coastal scenery, is a perfect example of what makes the islands so special. I’m already looking forward to returning, especially once the new boat service is running which is now pencilled in for 2027.
