Pedn Vounder Beach in Cornwall, UK used to be a hidden gem but due to mass exposure in UK newspapers and in popular tv shows such as Poldark this is no longer the case.
Pedn Vounder is now one of the most popular tourist spots in Cornwall and it’s not hard to see why.
Pedn Vounder is a stunning beach with crystal clear waters and soft white sand making it a fantastic destination for a day out with family and friends on a sunny day. However, it’s not the easiest place to get to and you need to be prepared especially if you are planning to visit during the very busy holiday season.

How To Get To Pedn Vounder Beach
Pedn Vounder is situated between Logan Rock and Porthcurno Cove. At low tide you can walk around from Porthcurno Beach but you must be careful about getting cut off by the tide otherwise you’ll have to scale a steep cliff to get back!!!
It’s worth finding out the tide times when you visit any of the beaches in Cornwall, especially if you are adventurous and like to go exploring. Every year people get stranded because they have wandered off the beaten path and have not noticed the tide coming in.
I recommend downloading a tide time app or consulting this site just so you know what state the tide is going to be in when you visit the beach.

Where To Park At Pedn Vounder Beach
There is a car park about 10 minutes walk away in the village of Treen which is reasonably priced but make sure you get there very early during the holiday season because it gets very busy. Otherwise, you can park in one of the car parks at Porthcurno and walk along the cliffs to get to Pedn Vounder. Or as mentioned above you can walk around on the beach at low tide.
