Yes, all off these Woodpecker species can be seen throughout Cornwall:
- The Great Spotted Woodpecker
- The Green Woodpecker
- The Lesser Spotted Woodpecker
I was lucky to have a family of Great Spotted Woodpeckers in my garden for a short time during summer 2022.
You may also be surprised to learn that you can also see Puffins at a beautiful location called Mouls Island in North Cornwall (not far from Padstow).
If like me you have a very powerful long camera lens you can see them from the mainland as Mouls Island is not that far away but for the best view, you should try and take a boat trip to the island.
