Polperro is a quintessential Cornish fishing village just a few miles from Looe, and it’s a charming destination at any time of year.
Parking can be pricey and the village gets very busy in the summer months. On this visit, we parked in the main car park (UPDATE) which now costs £7 for up to three hours as of October 2025.
From there, we strolled past the 14th Century Crumplehorn Inn, complete with its fully restored water wheel, and wandered along the streets lined with shops and cafés towards the harbour.
Polperro is steeped in history, particularly known for smuggling in the 18th and 19th centuries.
In this video, we explore the harbour, take in the quaint streets, and enjoy the village despite the wet and windy weather. Along the way, we treated ourselves to a Cornish pasty and picked up a couple of Christmas presents before heading home.
