Bluefin Tuna Feeding Frenzy – Part 2, Lands End, Cornwall, UK

On my second recent visit to Land’s End to film the bluefin tuna, conditions were extremely windy, but having my tripod made it easier to capture steady shots. The sea was restless, with strong gusts sweeping across the cliffs and whitecaps stretching far into the distance.

The tuna were incredibly active, leaping out of the water in every direction, and even a hungry seal joined in on the frenzy, visible in the top right of the frame around the forty five second mark. It was a thrilling display of Cornwall’s marine life in action, showing just how rich and dynamic these waters can be.

Watching from the cliffs, the scale of the activity was remarkable. Dozens of tuna could be seen chasing shoals of baitfish near the surface, each breach sending a flash of silver into the air. Despite the wind and cold, it was one of those moments that perfectly captured the excitement of filming wildlife along Cornwall’s wild west coast.
