A Stormy Walk From Lands End To Sennen, Cornwall, UK

Land’s End is one of my favourite corners of Cornwall, offering some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in the county. The views stretch endlessly along the cliffs, where the sea meets the land with a mixture of power and beauty that never fails to impress.

I love walking from Land’s End to Sennen and on towards Nanjizal Bay, taking in the rugged cliffs, wild seas, and panoramic views. During winter storms, however, this area can become particularly treacherous. Extra care is essential when navigating the coastal paths, as the combination of high winds, slippery rocks, and crashing waves demands respect.

On this particular walk, the sea was rough, and the wind pushed hard against the cliffs. Waves exploded against the rocks below, and sea spray drifted far inland with every gust. Despite the challenging weather, the experience was unforgettable. There is something about this part of Cornwall that feels raw and elemental, especially when the Atlantic is in full force.

Even on stormy days, the walk from Land’s End to Sennen showcases Cornwall’s untamed beauty at its most powerful. It is a reminder of why this coastline continues to draw visitors and photographers from all over the world.
