Natures ‘Sea Foam’ Party, Dollar Cove, Lizard, Cornwall, UK

Strong winds, high tides, and rough seas always make for fantastic filming conditions along Cornwall’s coast, and Dollar Cove on the Lizard Peninsula certainly didn’t disappoint. I had initially planned to head to Porthleven, but when it wasn’t really kicking off there, I decided to explore Gunwalloe/Dollar Cove and later Mullion Cove (covered in a separate video).

The wind was gusting fiercely, whipping the waves into frothy peaks, and I had almost forgotten just how spectacularly foamy Dollar Cove can get. The sea foam, whipped from the waves and swirling along the rocks, creates a natural, ever-changing display, like nature throwing its own bubbly party along the shore. It’s mesmerising to watch, and the contrast of white foam against the dark rocks and golden sands makes for some truly compelling footage.

Moments like these are a reminder of why Cornwall’s coastline is so captivating: every visit can bring a new surprise, whether it’s crashing waves, foamy coves, or just the raw energy of the Atlantic on a windy day.
