I recently spent a fantastic afternoon filming a small colony of seal pups and adults in Cornwall, UK.

The wind was gusting strongly, but I managed to hunker down and capture these incredible animals from a distance using my long lenses.

This particular colony is tucked away in a lesser-known spot, so I’ll be keeping its location under wraps. Cornwall has a few more familiar sites for seal watching, such as Mutton Cove at Godrevy, but this one offered a more private experience.

I spent hours in a rather uncomfortable spot, buffeted by the wind, but it was absolutely worth it. With the help of stabilisation software, I was able to get some impressive footage of seal pups and adults simply going about their day on the beach.
