Big Waves And Turbulent Seas At Cape Cornwall

Cape Cornwall is a very special place for me. It is where I proposed to my wife, and it is always a joy to visit, whatever the time of year.

Recently, I ventured there on an extremely stormy day, braving the wind and sea spray to capture this footage. As they say, you have to suffer for your art. Even in the storm, the site is spectacular, offering a front row view of the raw power of the Atlantic. The light, the waves, and the dramatic coastline make it one of Cornwall’s most impressive coastal experiences.

There is a National Trust car park here, which is free for members like me, making access easy. During the summer months, Cape Cornwall can get very busy, so it is wise to arrive early for parking and to avoid the queues along the narrow country lanes leading to this fantastic location.

Cape Cornwall remains one of my favourite places to film. Whether calm or wild, it always delivers something unique. On this visit, the stormy conditions created a scene full of movement, colour, and energy that perfectly sums up the spirit of the Cornish coast.
